What Is Sewer Jetting?

Sewer jetting, sometimes also called hydro jetting, is a popular method of clearing out clogged sewer lines by using a specialized type of hose to send a high-pressure jet of water into your pipes. This jet can easily dislodge most common pipe blockages, like grease, hair, and other debris. Sewer jetting is a particularly popular method because it can clean out your pipes efficiently, but without doing any damage to the system.

What Is Sewer Jetting?

When we set out to hydro jet your drainage system, the first thing we do is find or create an opening into your pipes. We’ll insert a flexible hose into that opening, which will allow us to pump a concentrated jet of water directly into your pipes—sometimes up to 4,000 psi, depending on how stubborn the blockage is—until whatever obstruction you had in your pipes is washed away.

Sewer jetting is particularly useful because of how well it allows us to adapt to different plumbing systems. No matter if your property is residential, commercial, industrial, or anything in between, we can still use sewer jetting to flush out your system. And, unlike methods like snaking, sewer jetting doesn’t just poke holes in the blockage in question—it disintegrates the clog entirely, so that the problem has no chance of returning any time soon.

Since it relies on plain old high-pressured water instead of any sort of chemical mixture to achieve its results, sewer jetting is not only simple and effective, but it’s also environmentally friendly.
